NCAA, NFL, BCS, NBA Update 12/05

I know it's been a couple of weeks since I last posted and I'm very sorry about that, there has been quite a lot that has gone on in the sports world with the NBA lockout being over and the season starting on Christmas. Now we can start getting all excited about who will be traded where and which free agents are going to switch teams. But to more important things as we have yet to receive and major trade reports or free agent signings, Kentucky is your new number one team in the country and much as it pains me to say, they do deserve to be there. Especially now as they beat UNC on Saturday, though they won by one point on damn blocked shot by Davis. College ball is a game that lasts 40 minutes and Kentucky is a second half team which teams need to realize both of my teams who have lost to Kentucky, both failed to realize this as both played great ball in the first half and both seemed to lose it in the second half. Hopefully UNCwill bounce back and use their two losses to become a better team and a team that has less turnovers as that is exactly what killed them, that and rebounding. What kept them in the game was that they were hot from beyond the arc. Though to some great news for me Ohio State demolished Duke when they played, I will say that game made me so happy as being a UNC fan, I hate Duke but also Ohio State showed that they are the better team and you know they may make a case to be the new umber one team in the country we can only see what happens.

Now to football in the NFL two teams have clinched their divisions, the San Francisco 49ers who are your NFC West champions with a record currently of 10-2 and for the NFC North the Packers who are currently undefeated. For the 49ers our main goal now is to get the second seed in the NFC playoffs and get the first round bye but we have finally made it back to the post season for the first time since 2002. Harbaugh has shown just what the 49ers are capable of and how we do have the talent in our team to play with the big boys and all in his rookie year as a coach. He has also instilled confidence in our quarterback Alex Smith and given him a season where he may actually win comeback player of they year and he would totally deserve it.

In NCAA football, BCS bowl games have been released and teams now know where they are being headed. In your title game it's a rematch of LSU and Bama. I will say this Roll Tide in this game but you never know who will win. My boys in Blue are going to the Sugar Bowl and playing Virgina Tech. In the Gator bowl will be Ohio State vs Florida, which is kind of really funny because Urban Meyer used to coach at Florida and now has just accepted the coaching job at Ohio State. Your ACC champs Clemson will play Oklahoma State in I believe the Orange Bowl.
