World Baseball Classic: USA is Your Champion

Last night was the conclusion of the World Baseball Classic and it was the US vs Puerto Rico and it was a good game for the US not quite so much for Puerto Rico. Yesterday's Championship match and the semi final against the Dominican Republic were honestly the only games I watched because up until Tuesday night did not realize the games were on the MLB Network. It was nice to get some baseball action prior to the season starting that isn't spring training. Ok a lie through my work I've been able to watch a lot of baseball and actually get a way more in depth knowledge of the game which has really helped me enjoy it so much more.

Watching the WBC the past couple of nights was so much fun because you get to see some of the best players play for their country. Now I do wish it was during a different time period because we do have March Madness right now which definitely takes away from the WBC and it isn't getting the recognition it deserves.  I hope that four years from now they can figure something out and make it have a splash.

Back to yesterday's game what a game for the US. Marcus Stroman was lights out as a pitcher he only allowed 1 hit through 6 innings and he just stymied Puerto Rico's hitting and then our bats went crazy we had a 2 run hr in the 3rd by Kinsler that set off the US and after that it was just magic. Crawford singled in the 7th and drove in 2 runs to make it 6-0; loved that Crawford got some RBI's because you know go Giants. Now it is only a few more weeks until Opening Day and the start of the MLB season.

I hope you enjoyed this post and keep following my love affair with sports.
