Update Alert: Matt Cain Pitches a Perfect Game Last Night

Last night in front of yet another sellout crowd at AT&T Park, Matt Cain pitched his first ever perfect game.  With all that has been going on with the Giants this year, this game feels like the start of something new for us this season.  Now we have the momentum and honestly I can't think of a better pitcher for this to happen to then Matt Cain, him and Lincecum started with the Giants around the same time and always he has been in the shadow of Timmy but now it's his turn, his year to shine and be the best pitcher that we have.

I am so happy for Matt Cain and this game was just one beautiful play after another after an early lead the Giants just played it cool and made brilliant catches like Cabrera in the sixth to get Snyder out. Then followed by probably the most improbable catch of the game when Blanco ran into Right Center to make a diving catch and rob Schafer of a base hit and to get the first out of the seventh. While this game was a defensive miracle, we can't forget about the offensive side where the Giants scored 10 runs this game and had 3 different players score multiple run home runs.  So thank you Melky, Blanco, and Brandon Belt for your home runs that sealed our win and gave Cain the breathing room he needed for this historic game.  Giants thank you for this amazing game and for breathing life back into your fans.

I hope you enjoyed this post and keep following my love affair with sports.
