Final Four Time: Discussing the Final Four
The weekend that everyone in College Basketball has been waiting for has finally arrived; that's right it's the Final Four tonight and then the Championship game on Monday night. This year the potential winners are Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, and Ohio St. Both of the games tonight will be phenomenal as all of these teams are some of the top teams in the country. The first match up tonight is Kentucky vs Louisville which may prove to be the more entertaining game to watch as they are major in state rivals and every year when they play each other these teams go for it and the games are full of passion and entertainment value. Already we have heard on the news, stories of fans who have gotten out of hand because they happen to see a fan from the other school. Well back to the actual game while I would like to see Louisville win this game and deny Calipari a chance at the National title again, I don't really see how they can actually go against the talent that is on the Kentucky team. The Kentucky team has so much talent that now people are saying they are the team to beat, yet we do know that they are a beatable team as Vanderbilt and Indiana both have beaten them. But it will take a lot to beat them, Louisville will have to find a way to stop Anthony Davis who is this years AP Player of the year. They will also have to stop Lamb and Teague, I know that is a hard task for Louisville but they could be up for the challenge; one thing I do know for certain is that they will do everything in their power to win this game and advance to the Final Four. I certainly will be rooting for them to beat Kentucky as at this point my bracket is completely ruined.
Now to the second match up of the night Kansas vs Ohio St; this will also be quite the match up. In this game it will truly be the story of whose big man is better, will it be Thomas Robinson of Kansas or Jared Sullinger of Ohio St. I personally think that Robinson is much better but then again I am partial to the Kansas team. Ohio St has been an amazing team this year but they have been beaten by Kansas this year though granted that was a team that was without Sullinger, so this game will be a completely different game. These two teams are evenly matched up as they have very similar records Kansas holds a 31-6 overall record will Ohio St holds a 31-7 overall record. I think the fact that Kansas has the stronger over match up is going to be what puts them over the edge is that Kansas has a better point guard then Ohio St, I personally think that Tyshawn Taylor is a better point guard then Aaron Craft. But I do agree with what most commentators believe that the key for this game will be who will be the better point guard. So the major aspect of this game to watch will be how well Taylor and Craft play against each other. This will be a great game too just won't have the rivalry aspect of the Kentucky vs Louisville game.
I hope you all enjoyed this post and keep following my love affair with sports.
